2023 China International Fair for Trade in Services

The 2023 China International Fair for Trade in Services (CIFTIS) will be held from September 2nd to 6th this year at the Beijing National Convention Center, National Stadium, and Shougang Park. As the world’s largest comprehensive trade fair for services, CIFTIS is an important exhibition platform for showcasing global innovation and creativity.

The United Kingdom is the world’s second-largest exporter of services. From 1997 to 2020, the average annual growth rate of UK-China trade in services was 12.2%. The UK has world-leading technology and rich development experience in finance, professional services, sports and creative services, education and skills, telecommunications, and transportation. Demand for products and services from the UK in China is high, and representation of UK businesses at the CIFTIS is substantial.

2023 Guizhou International Alcohol Expo

The Guizhou International Alcohol Expo, approved by the State Council and jointly organized by the Ministry of Commerce and the People’s Government of Guizhou Province, is a large-scale internationally renowned exhibition for alcoholic beverages. It aims both to promote Chinese alcoholic beverages globally, and also to integrate the world’s alcohol industry into China, facilitating mutual exchange and cooperation in the global alcohol industry. The Alcohol Expo has been successfully held for eleven sessions from 2011 to 2021 and has become an important platform for trade, investment, and exchange across the entire alcohol industry chain. The twelfth edition of the Alcohol Expo will take place from September 9th to 12th, 2023, covering an exhibition area of approximately 90,000 square meters and attracting more than 2,000 domestic and foreign enterprises to participate, as well as nearly 20,000 buyers and project investors. It will be an opportunity to experience cultural diversity, foster friendship, and seek common development.

Itinerary:

Day 1: Departure on September 3rd, arrive on September 4th (Tuesday) in Beijing.

Day 2: September 5th (Wednesday) – Attend the China International Fair for Trade in Services, visit various pavilions, meet related industry leaders, and seek potential business opportunities.

Day 3: September 6th (Thursday) – Visit the Forbidden City, Tiananmen Square, and the Great Wall.

Day 4: September 7th (Friday) – Travel to Qingdao, Shandong, visit the local Bureau of Commerce and relevant cooperative enterprises (cultural and creative industries, tourism), and join as a VIP at the UK-Qingdao cooperation exchange meeting.

Day 5: September 8th (Saturday) – Explore Qingdao, gain in-depth understanding of the city, visit the ancient city of Jimo, and enjoy the panoramic view from Mount Lao.

Day 6: September 9th (Sunday) – Travel to Guizhou and participate in the Guizhou International Alcohol Expo.

Day 7: September 10th (Monday) – Return to the UK.
